All Creatures Great and Small (5 Volume Set)

Set of 5 Volumes of James Herriot's (the pen name for James Alfred Wight) beloved memoirs of an Animal Doctor; All books First Edition/First Printings from St. Martin's Press, these being the first US editions of the books; basis for the film and TV adaptations; rare in the first printings, particularly all together as a set. The books are in the following conditions: "All Creatures Great and Small" is in VG/NF condition with minor staining to the bottom of the front board, a slight lean to the binding, and light soiling to the panels; "All Things Bright and Beautiful" is in NF/VG condition with a PO inscription to the front free paper, minor rubbing and (truncated) chipping to the jacket spine ends and edges, a short closed tear to the top of the front panel, and a general age-toning to the jacket; "All Things Wise and Wonderful" is in NF/NF condition with only light rubbing to the board and panel edges and some faint soiling to the front panel; "The Lord God Made Them All" is in VG/VG condition with a PO stamp to the front free paper, mild soiling to the text block and panels, light rubbing to the board and panel edges, and a couple of tiny chips to the spine ends; "Every Living Thing" is in F/NF condition with only slight rubbing to the spine ends with one tiny closed tear to the bottom of the rear flap, and some light sticker residue to the back panel. Overall, a highly collectible and presentable set, hard to find together and in this condition.
