With two etched illustrated title pages and 117 ETCHED PLATES, 30 PARTIALLY OR WHOLLY HAND-COLORED, three folding, all drawn and etched by Carter. Front pastedown with engraved bookplate of John Turner Ettlinger of Magdalen College, Oxford, dated 1947. A bit of wear to corners, slight soiling to the spine, but the utilitarian binding solid and not displeasing. Separation to the hinges (but nothing loose), small tear to two folding plates, very faint offsetting from (truncated)
