Ownership signature of G. W. Fordyce on upper board and free end paper, with a note "Ensign HM 74th Regt. of Foot," which was part of the Highland Light Infantry. "Bound by J. Smith, 49, Long Acre" printed on upper pastedown. An unusual example of a book in boards signed by the binder.
