Washington DC: n/a, 1852. Autograph. Very good. Autograph. Approx. 7" x 8" folded sheet with inscription on the right fold, "Senate Chamber Dec 27, 1852 To Mr. John B. Pollock College Hall, Cincinnati - Dear Sir, Below you have the autograph you have written for yours Robert M. Charlton."
Opposite this inscription on the left fold is Robert M. Charlton United States Senator Georgia" (Indiana initially written is marked out). On the right fold is a small clipped printed note pasted down, "Charlton, Robert M. He was Judge, and a Senator from Georgia, in 1852 and 1853. He died in Savannah, January 18, 1854." Charlton also wrote a book of poems. (truncated)
