[Motorcycle Culture] Photo archive of a Harley Davidson Motorcycle Club in the 1950s-60s in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Archive of 44 black and white silver gelatin photographs. US motorcycle clubs have their roots following WWII, where many young veterans were looking for identity, camaraderie, and an adrenaline rush. This collection boasts a variety of of mid-century young Harley enthusiasts on a range of models, as well as a few other brands. Most feature the biker's name on the bottom margins or versos.
