Some soiling, and top corners exhibit systemic dog-earing upper right corner of the half-title is particularly fragile.. Original sewn wraps with brownish thick card covers glued to re-used paper sewn to the groupings. iv, (tipped-in folding list of medals), 77+ 1 pp, all pricves are inked in along with some marginalia and one laid-in note, the entirety being written in French. Includes a folded letterpress sheet titled "Notice Sommaire Du Medaillier de Feun Monsieur D'Ennery" that lists the volume of each category of medals. These failed to sell in groups, or en bloc, and were subsequently auctioned in 1788. Exceedingly rare. OCLC number references two copies as well as Haiti Trust digitized version. PRICED in a contemporary hand. Ennery had brought together a vast collection of 22,000 coins and medals from antiquity to recent times. The folding frontispiece gives a list of their contents. This collection was sold to collectors in France, England and the Netherlands by private treatise. His reference library on the subject was sold at auction in this sale.
