Loosely based on the 1979 French film directed by René Gainville, in turn based on Jenaro Prieto's 1928 novel. After years of struggling to succeed as a Black woman on Wall Street, an ambitious businesswoman decides to start her own investment firm in the name of a fictitious white man, Robert Cutty. The ruse begins to break down, however, when associates and clients begin to demand to meet with Cutty in person.
