Fairfield, CT: np, 1959. First Edition. Near fine.. Two typed postcards, signed from Robert Penn Warren and addressed to Solomon at: "ESQUIRE / 488 Madison Avenue / New York City." Postmarked February 24 and July 13, 1959, respectively. The first approximately eighty words, discussing his process of revision to an unnamed book: "But I now feel that I cannot do a substantial job of reduction without sacrificing more of the book than I want to sacrifice..." The second brief: "Thank you for your kind note. I am glad you liked the piece." The book mentioned is likely Warren's 1959 novel THE CAVE as an excerpt titled BLACK IS THE COVER OF MY TRUE LOVE'S HAIR (truncated)
