Boards half bound with brown leather to spine and corners and marbled paper to boards. Spine caps chipped away, corners tattered and exposed, short hinge tears, scuffing to leather, rubbing. Text blocks have tinted top edge, name and inscription in ink on front endpapers, occasional foxing throughout, foxing especially to plates and adjacent pages. "Illustrated by upwards of three hundred engravings, from sketches by the author"- title page. Frontispiece and folded map in each volume, plates with tissue guards. NOTE: Shelved in Locked Annex Area, ND-HV Column.
