With woodcut illustrations that look like an incunable had a brief but inspiring friendship with Aubrey Beardsley, ALICE IN WONDERLAND is an attractive example of Bertram Godhue's Arts and Crafts sensibilities in book form. His bright, bold aesthetic is a perfect match for Emily Prime Delafield's interpretation of ALICE, which was first presented for The Society of Decorative Art with a cast of children.
