The oldest of the historic Seven Sisters colleges, Mount Holyoke was founded by women's education advocate Mary Lyon. In this illustrated yearbook, women students excel in their studies while pursuing active social lives. They engage in sports, music clubs, and sororities. There are many photographs of various campus organizations, such as the Banjo Club, the basketball teams, and drama clubs. At the time, Mount Holyoke had a strong literary presence, as is reflected in these pages. There are many short stories, articles, and poems strewn throughout. (truncated)
