[Women's Education] Yearbook from an all-female college in 1916. Contains 181 pages, 9.5" x 7.5." Pennsylvania. Founded by Presbyterian pastors in 1869, Wilson Female College was one of the first United States colleges to accept women. Its mission statement was rather progressive for its time, declaring itself as an institution for women "to be leaders, not followers, in society." In this pristine, profusely illustrated yearbook, women excel in their studies while pursuing active social lives. They engage in sports, theatre productions, and sororities.
