Vienna: NP, 1933. Loose leaf. Very good + to near fine condition. Folio. (8) 39pp Original light brown stiff wraps portfolio with modern design and typography on cover, protected by modern mylar. Collection of forty-seven 1933 designs for advertisements, announcements for concerts, exhibitions, film, incl. the Paramount Monumental film by Cecil B. Demille "Im Zeichen des Kreuzes (The Sign of the Cross)", industry, e.g. the General Motors, Oakland Division, lectures, furniture, vacation, and other specialties. The majority in modern design and typography, (truncated) while some contain typography more common in the earlier part of the century.

The collection contains seven full pages printed to glossy paper and some printed to regular, heavier paper. The introductory message is printed to heavier paper and is w/o reference to author: "We want that State, Economy and Society foster and care for the true welfare/good of humanity, that the Commandments of Christianity rule all relations among the people and peoples so everybody enjoy the fruits of work to great extent, so that there will be peace, happyness and domestic happyness bloom and be preserved for the upright."

Karl Bauer; Michaelis & Reichenhold "Der eleganten Dame... (The Elegant Lady...); Beethoven's 9th Synphony at the Vienna Philharmonic; a screening of "Im Zeichen des Kreuzes" at the Urania (Paramount); Modern Arts & Crafts; a furniture exhibition in 1933; 4711 Kölnisch Wasser (Cologne); four designs for each volume of Edward Stilgebauer's "Geschichte einer Jugend (Story of a Youth)"; Printer & Publisher "typographische anstalt;" Graphischer Zentralverband / Christliche Gewerkschaft (Central Graphic Association / Christian Union); Viktor Achbergner Puppenklinik für altersschwache Boys und Girls (Doll Clinic for decrepit boys and girls); Gebrüder Thonet - Die Neuzeitliche Wohnung (Brothers Thonet - The Contemporary Appartment); the Vienna Werkstätte; a flower shop and others.
