[TRAVEL Switzerland] Extensive travel album of Switzerland from the early 20th century with scenic views of the Swiss Alps, various major cities, rural towns, and people partaking in winter sports. 200 black and white silver gelatin photos mounted on black paper and bound in beige paper with gold cord. Album measures 7" x 10", photos measure 1.5" x 2". Title in German, French, and Italian and translates to "The Beautiful Switzerland." Each section is dedicated to a specific scenic region with each photo having a caption in German. Each region includes; Bernese Highlands, Rhine Falls, Engadin, Zurich, Lake Lugano, Lake Lucerne, Lake Geneva, a series various mountains in the Swiss Alps, Grisons, Valais, Fribourg, Basel, Zermatt, a series of winter sports including skiing, curling, ice hockey, horse racing, and bobsledding, Kt. Aargau, Olten, Solothurn, Aarau, Kt. Thurgau, Rorschach, Biel, Winterthur, Neuchâtel, Zug, Kt. Uri, Schwyz, and Unterwalden. Album has wear and creasing, photos are in very good condition, two photos are loose, one photo of Ponte Tressa looks to have been torn and glued back together.
