Quite fresh copy, with three tiny spots of foxing, corners just touched, overall a tight, Near Fine copy. Illustrations and graphics by Sgt. Harry Fletcher. Ownership signature of a Capt. William W. Hayward to half-title.

Written by Hammett (who wrote the main text) and Colodny (who supplied the photograph captions) while U.S. Army corporals, stationed at Headquarters of the Western Defense Command in Adak during WW2. While not precisely uncommon, Battle of the Aleutians is a desirable Hammett "A" item, seldom found in nice condition. LAYMAN A10. (Inventory #: 61158)
