by El Paso, Texas
Archive of 3 real photo postcards at the turn of the century of El Paso and the Texas and Mexican border. Each measure 3.5" x 5.5". One postcard shows a procession of soldiers on horseback and carriage surrounded by spectators as they traverse "Texas Street between Mesa and Stanton". Another postcard depicts four professionally and artistically shot photos in a collage of the barren terrain of El Paso; one showing a mesa in the background from the perspective of a horseback rider with the back of a horse's head in the foreground, another showing a farmstead with chickens and mules, with the other two showcasing the hard and desolate nature of the region. En verso writes "On Mexican Border El Paso 1913 or 14 Photo by F.J. DeMuth". The last postcard in the series has a young local atop a donkey hurling a water barrel behind, official caption states "Mexican Water Hauler. Tex-Mex Border." Some minor wear to edges, images overall crisp and clear, overall very good condition.
