Map includes various military sites in the vicinity of Fort Dix military reservation, including Lakehurst Naval Airstation, US Naval Air Station (Jackson), McGuire Air Force Base, BOMAC Missile Facility, and Frankford Arsenal Range (Impact Area). Also includes extensive geographical data such as woodlands, marshes, lakes, cranberry bogs, rivers, creeks, and brooks, as well as elevations contours throughout. Offset lithograph. Recommended by the Chief Engineer Plans and Services, and Approved by the Director of Engineering and Housing. Dated 01 Jun, 1993. Diazotype on paper. Measures 39 7/8" x 27 7/8" "Fort Dix, NJ." Shows lakes, rivers, and streams; permanent, semi-permanent, and temporary buildings; paved and unpaved roads, and tank trails. Also shows section of the Federal Correctional Institute at Fort Dix, the largest single federal prison in the United States. Plan indicates the area as off limits. Dated 10-06-1999. Blueprint on mylar. Measures 36 1/8" x 29 7/8" Fort Dix, the common name for the Army Support Activity located at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, is a United States Army post. It is located 16.1 miles south-southeast of Trenton, New Jersey. Fort Dix is under the jurisdiction of the Air Force Air Mobility Command. These boldly printed maps provide a rare glimpse into military barracks as well as geography.
