Very Good with cocked and creased spine, light wear, a few dog-eared pages. Scarce signed. A pioneering feminist novel that caused a major scandal in the Arabic literary world for its taboo depictions of female sexuality and agency. Khoury is from a very prominent family, the granddaughter of a former Syrian prime minister, and this autobiographical novel was about her love affair with famous Syrian poet Nizar Quabbani.
