Indianapolis, 1938. Typed Letter Signed. Paper. Very good. Letter from August Samuel Duesenberg, American automotive engineer who built racing engines and set early automotive speed records. Engines designed and built by him and his brother, Fred Duesenberg, won the 1921 French Grand Prix and three Indianapo. Letter previously folded, light toning. Marginalia in pencil from the recipient, noting that he called A.S. Duesenberg. Duesenberg was inducted into the Auto Racing Hall of Fame, the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame and the Motorsports Hall of Fame of America.
