First edition, later state listing the publisher's address at bottom of rear panel as "333 Sixth Ave" instead of the earlier 5th Avenue address (the move was in March of 1949). Slight offsetting to endpapers from reaction with jacket flaps else a fine copy in an unusually fresh,
nearly fine dust jacket missing two tiny nicks on the front flap. Nonetheless, highly uncommon in such crisp condition, with virtually none of the usual browning to the spine panel. The controversial winner of the Bolingen Prize for poetry. *Connolly 100* title. (Inventory #: 539680)
