1895. Fine. Original pen and ink drawing on paper. Measures 9½” x 11½” to the inside edges of a mat frame, neatly housed inside a glazed wood frame (19” x 21¾”). Signed by the artist in the lower left corner. One of Frost’s original illustrations for the book *Uncle Remus: His Songs and His Sayings* (p. 52), published by D. Appleton and Company, New York, 1895. In fine condition with a few tiny spots on the paper and the top edge of wood frame slightly askew. A delightful original drawing by A.B. Frost, best known for his illustrations of Brer Rabbit and other beloved characters in the Uncle Remus books. (Inventory #: 534235) (truncated)
