[Boston], 2007. Hardcover. Fine. Artist's proof (4 ¾" x 4 ½"). A series of 8 drypoint prints made during the Boston Red Sox 2007 spring training, in anticipation of Opening Day. Bound in quarter black leather and brown leather over thick boards with a pictorial paper onlay (of a baseball) mounted on front cover. Signed by the artist in pencil on the colophon plate: "artist's proof, Laura Davidson". In fine condition. Davidson is a leading Boston based book and paper artist whose works are held at the Boston Athenæum, Harvard, and in private collections nationwide. A previous bookseller's description states *Opening Day* was issued in an edition of ten copies. (Inventory #: 530368)
