First printing of the first title in the beloved HENRY REED series, following the entrepreneurial boy on his first several ventures. Written as a series of journal entries (but, Henry insists, NOT as a diary), HENRY REED, INC follows the titular character as he founds a "research service" based out of an old barn. Hijinks, of course, ensue. HENRY REED, INC earned the 1961 William Allen White Children's Book Award and was followed by four sequels. Four of the books in the series, including HENRY REED, INC feature illustrations by double Caldecott Medal-winning artist (truncated)
