Printed on paper made in Ireland and published by Elizabeth Yeats at the Cuala Press. Front board has early spotting, spine label is nicked with no loss to printing, else a very good copy. Limited to 300 numbered copies. Higgins was born in County Mayo into a Unionist Protestant family. In 1915 his friendship with Austin Clarke nurtured his interest in Gaelic literature and folklore. The printer, Elizabeth Corbet Yeats was the daughter of Irish artist John Butler Yeats, and sister of (truncated)
