Includes articles on the impending Utah statehood and women's suffrage, as well as "Notes From the Conference of the National American Women Suffrage Association" held in Salt Lake City the previous May. The paper provided a public forum wherein the women of Utah could publish their opinions and experiences, and gave them a safe place to share potentially controversial views about politics, child rearing, homemaking or education. It was a publication by women for women: The authors, editors, even the typesetters were all women. In good condition, tattered edges and a few closed tears, but complete and fully legible with no stains. (Inventory #: 17407)
