A collection of Locke's posthumous writings, including "Of the Conduct of the Understanding", "An Examination of P. Malebranche's Opinion of Seeing all things in God", "A Discourse of Miracles", "Part of a Fourth Letter for Toleration", "Memoirs relating to the Life of Anthony first Earl of Shaftsbury", and "His New Method of a Common-Place-Book", written originally in French, (truncated) and now translated into English. Locke's "Of the Conduct of the Understanding" was especially popular and was reprinted several times after the publication of this book. It was intended as a later addition to his Essay Concerning Human Understanding, but Locke was unable to incoporate this in a later edition before his death.
