The front cover repeats one of the rich chromo illustrations inside and the back cover is an
advertisement for other McLoughlin titles: "Picture Books For Little Children."
Size is Sq 4to, Each double-pg spread features a chromo recto - facing the rhyme verso with a brown line illus within the text. Nothing is printed behind these pages - so there are blank
double spreads between. Inside pages are very clean. (truncated) Front cover has some dust soiling - but still retains a brightness. Up at top edge is written lightly in pencil the date 1880. A very small corner chip on front cover does not affect illustration at all. Spine rub but intact --it was probably tightened with glue at some point. Inside front cover there is a crease- but it does not extend to the front cover. The back cover with the publisher's ads of their inventory is quite clean - with just a light small stain at very bottom. VG condition
