Japan, 1930. Some wear to large envelope; else fine.. This group of 14 vividly illustrated medicine packets designed for the Japanese market. Besides the printed product information,the imagery is often relevant to the ailment depicting coughing, holding an aching head or tooth or a demon taking hold of or seizing the body. The little packet with a clock and a man with tired eyes is for a sleep aid (unopened packet) and the nurse with the sick child in bed is for quinine. Also included is a 10 1/2" x 7 1/2" heavy stock envelope depicting depicting a nurse opening a package that is driving away demons; the image is flanked by thermometers. Three of the packets include the original content. The smallest is 3 1/2" x 2 1/2
