He dealt not only with astronomy in his research, but also with physics, arithmetic, geometry, optics, geography, and chronology. Bound in full vellum, Euclide written in brown ink to spine, lacking one front and rear blank, previous owner's gift inscription, wear to binding, joints and hinges fine, light dampstaing to last 1/4 of book. A very good copy.
