Not dated but circa August 1945 as it related to the occupation of Tokyo, Declaring the end of the war, 7 pages. Titled "Memorandum To Correspondents- Third Fleet Landing Force - William T. Clement, Brigadier General, U.S. Marine Corps." In part "...Disarmed Japanese Military and Naval personnel will be treated with dignity while in our custody..while the Japanese have agreed to disarm and demilitarize the Tokyo Bay Area the possibility of treacherous employment of all weapons can not be overlooked... Troops will carry pieces (truncated)
