Cover image features a large colored engraving of Elizabeth Cady Stanton. Interior printed with black and red ink. Page 115-121 includes an article focusing on Stanton as a model for “The Roycroft Sunday School Lessons for Month of August.” The article includes quotes from Stanton, with analysis and comments from Alice Hubbard. Roycroft was a community of artisan and craft artists in upstate New York, founded by (truncated) “The Fra” publisher Elbert Hubbard. The book quality printing and pages of the interior speak to the value of craft labor and goods. Alice Hubbard was a noted suffragist, so it is not surprising that she would write about the ideas and values espoused by the important voting activist Elizabeth Cady Stanton.
