Books 1-5 (registration numbers 1-27,000, 1961) and 6-10 ( nos. 27,001-60,000, 1962) combined into one volume each; includes two-volume index of #nos. 1-1,612,000. All volumes include an alphabetical index and errata, along with AQHA directors and officers, and champion/supreme champion information.No jackets as issued. Text blocks and spines of older volumes are a bit darker with age, compared to the more recent books. About a third have bumping to the spine/corners, and an equal number have rubbing/light scratches on the boards. The boards of volumes 17, 33 and 34 have indentations as through they were dropped; #34 is cocked, and the back hinge of #35 is stressed. Hinge is starting between pp. 2-3 in the book containing nos. 6-10.From the collection of Lissa Miller, whose great-great uncle, Coke Roberds, was the first quarter horse breeder in Colorado and was inducted into both the National Cowboy Hall of Fame in Oklahoma City and the American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame in Amarillo, Texas. Two of RoberdsÂ’ stallions were among the first 19 foundation sires registered by AQHA.
