New Haven: Printed for the Munson Association. The Tuttle, Morehouse & Taylor Press, 1896. Hardcover. Poor. Tall quartos. 2 volumes: xxvii, 624 pages; [2], pages 625-12335. Brown pebble cloth hardcovers with gilt titles on the front covers and faded titles on the spines. Illustrated with frontispiece engravings, plans, portraits, and folding charts. The bindings are in poor condition with hinges and text blocks broken in each volume. Cloth spines are wrinkled, creased and edge worn. Bindings are shaken with several loose pages and some loose sections. Some old glue repairs made to the bindings making the condition worse. On the positive side the (truncated) contents are clean and complete. A good candidate for being rebound. Note: printers error in volume 1: pages xiii, xiv (prefatory and explanations) are loose followed by the "translation of signatures" page and errata page both preceding page xv - "Contents.
