Berkeley: Berkeley Barb, 1968. Newspaper. 20p., folded tabloid underground newspaper, news, opinion, comix, events, sex, music, theatre, film, personal ads, lightly worn and toned on newsprint. Cover shows photos of burning barricades and student hurling something at riot cops in Berkeley; the banner headline proclaims "LIBERATED!". Inside: accounts of the rally "expressing solidarity with French students and workers" which soon escalated, with police assistance, into full-blown street fighting for a week.
