LS. Philadelphia. A letter signed "Thomas Bradford Jun President of the Board of Inspectors of the Prison of the City & County of Phila". Bradford wrote "To the President of the Board of Commsrs. of the District of Southwark" about the Moyamensing Prison: "Two vacancies now exist in the Board of Inspectors of the Prison of the City and County of Philadelphia in consequence of your corporation having omitted to elect two Inspectors on the 1st of this month you will please therefore to request the Board over which you preside to file said vacancies agreeably to law." The letter is in fine condition overall with dark ink; there is the usual seal tear (truncated)
