In honor of long-time member Florence Shay (1922-2012), the Midwest Chapter of the ABAA offers an educational scholarship to booksellers from the Midwest Chapter region to attend the 2019 Colorado Antiquarian Book Seminar. It covers full tuition plus room & board expenses for one attendee to this year's Seminar. All applications must be received by midnight, May 01, 2019. Treatise on Italian civil and ecclesiastical law. Collates: A - I, K - T, V, X, Y, Z, AA- II, KK - TT, VV, XX, YY, ZZ, AAa - EEc, a-h, i, k. Page numbering anomalies in index but catchwords match. Original vellum binding over 16th century pasteboard, end papers intact, spine worn and missing leather on top and bottom, missing ties, both boards loosely attached, text block with some browning, but mostly clean, some dog-ears at end. It has been reported that Volume 4 of the following five volume set was missing during breakdown of the New York Fair and appears to have been stolen: Ernst, Max. UPDATE: The books have been recovered. We received notice that the parish offices of Saint Dominic's Church in San Francisco were broken into and the church's Sacramental Records (series of leather-bound books) were stolen. Saint Dominic's Church is desperate to have the items returned and is offering a no questions asked reward to anyone who can facilitate the return of the items. In memory of long-time member George Robert Kane (Oct. 6, 1913–Nov. 28, 2009), the Northern California Chapter of the Antiquarian Booksellers' Association of America announces the availability of an Educational Scholarship. In the interest of promoting professionalism and education relevant to the antiquarian book trade, persons currently working in or actively pursuing a career in the book trade are especially encouraged to apply. Missing Steadman Print

The follwoing item was reported missing: Steadman, Ralph. LET'S PARTY: Limited Edition, Signed Silkscreen Print. (Lexington, KY: Petro III Graphics), 2006. First edition. One of 250 SIGNED, numbered copies of Steadman's image on a bright, red background of a cowboy hat-wearing, skull-faced, bare-chested Thompson declaring "OK! Let's Party!!!" An image from Steadman's 2006 book THE JOKE'S OVER, a memoir of his friendship and collaboration with famed Gonzo Journalist Hunter S. Thompson. The "Joke's Over" prints cover the span of their association, from their first meeting in Kentucky to the 2005 memorial service at which Thompson's ashes were blasted out of a cannon and include work from FEAR AND LOATHING IN LAS VEGAS, THE CURSE OF LONO and THE KENTUCKY DERBY IS DECADENT AND DEPRAVED, among many others.
