Vienna, April 19, 1907. 1 page, written on what appears to be a leaf from Wagner-Jauregg's prescription pad. 101 x 165 mm. Fine. From Viennese psychiatrist Julius Wagner-Jauregg, who was awarded the Nobel Prize for Physiology / Medicine in 1927 "for his discovery of the therapeutic value of malaria inoculation in the treatment of dementia paralytica" (Nobel e-Museum). Wagner-Jauregg's letter can be translated as follows: Dear Colleague, I would like to recommend Mr. Brunn, a merchant who last year was erroneously diagnosed as a paralytic by a physician in Joachimstal, for a slight cure to be taken at the waters at Karlsbad, which were beneficial to him two years ago.
